Tubular elements from dpstar are factory-configured to almost any shape or size. Custom bending diameters can be made upon request and we can manufacture a variety of industrial heating solutions such as flanged tubular heaters. Tubular heaters are typically made using stainless steel, Incoloy, inconel or titanium alloys. Tubular elements are often regarded as the foundation of all heating elements. These heating elements have a strong outer sheath to help protect the process heater from physical stress and uses high quality alloys to allow efficient heat transfer from resistance coil to your heating medium. *APPLICATION For heating almost any liquid or viscous materials including acids, water, synesthetic oils, lube oils as well as air, gases, steam or low melting point solids. *CONSTRUCTION The standard element consists of an 80/20 nickel chrome resistance wire which is connected to terminal pins, and centred in a metal tube. The tube is filled with high quality magnesium oxide and compressed to ensure a rapid heat transfer. The terminal pins from a non-heated section of the element well as the terminal arrangement. They are insulated from the tube by ceramic bushes. Kilowatt rating and voltage can be varied to suit each application. Our tubular heating element from the basis of all product in this catalogue. Material sheath selection and application: COPPER Heating of fresh water free from chlorine or other aggressive chemicals. INCOLOY 800 / 840 A nickel chrome alloy used for heating liquids where resistance to stress corrosion is required. Maximum sheath temperature 850oC. STAINLESS STEEL 304 Heating gases, where oxidization of corrosion is likely. Selection will depend on the media to be heated and the operating conditions. Maximum sheath temperature 750oC. STAINLESS STEEL 316 Heating liquids where corrosion is likely. Selection will depend on the media to be heated and the operating conditions. Maximum sheath temperature 750oC. TITANIUM Heating aggressive liquids where other metal sheated materials do not have the required corrosion resistance. Selection will depend on the chemical composition of the media to be heated.
