This tour combines a visit to two very different vegetation zones in Kinabalu Park – the montane forest at Park HQ (1,500m a.s.l) and lowland rainforest at Poring Hot Springs (550m a.s.l).  This 754 sq. km. park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000 as one of the most outstanding biological sites in the world.

Many examples of this unique biological diversity can be seen in the form of indigenous plants and birdlife along the nature trails at Park HQ and Poring Hot Springs.

The nature trails at both visitor centers have been well laid and clearly marked to ensure easy accessibility with a very informative Botanical Garden at Park HQ to give visitors a close-up view of some of these unique plants.  The Canopy Walkway, a 140m long bridge suspended 40m above ground, and open air tubs filled with hot sulphurous spring water at Poring are added highlights.
