Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the principle that Qi energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s Qi is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki works together with the body’s natural healing capabilities and helps to promote and accelerate the body’s natural healing process. Reiki also helps restore balance on the physical, mental, and emotional levels. Reiki is totally safe and complementary to any form of treatment, be it natural or conventional, and can often be used in circumstances where other therapies may be contraindicated.
