A GOOD NEWS for those who needs to submit FORM BE Malaysian Income Tax By Gunalan Appalasamy, Gunalan & Associates, Chartered Accountants, Kuala Lumpur For those who's rushing to submit their income tax returns; The GOOD NEWS is; The due date to submit the above returns MANUALLY is as usual on 30 April 2015. If you haven't prepared well, chose to do E-FILING, the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) has extended its due date up to 15 MAY 2015. The portal for E-FILING is open since 1 March 2015. We were told that the tax payers can get their tax refund, if any, before the filing due dates. Getting the refunds are made easier if you choose to submit the returns by E-FILING. Choose the correct form; if the tax payers income is only employment than it should be e-BE. One more thing, not everyone who is working should register and pay taxes. If you do not have an income tax file, your annual income should be at least RM30,000, for YA 2014, after deducting the EPF employee's portion, then only you should be worried about registering yourself and pay income tax.
