Classical/Contemporary Piano Lessons & Piano Accompaniment For Parents: Are your children’s piano teachers not being able to establish good learning rapport with your children? Do your children lack motivation and words of encouragement from the teachers? Did your children start off the piano lessons well with enthusiasm but this did not last long? Or are your children constantly having difficulty in getting into the practice routine? These situations signal that your children are not getting the right teachers that can bring out the best from them. And getting the wrong teachers for your children could kill their long-term interests in learning the piano and deprive them the opportunity of appreciating the beauty of art that exists in music. Each child is unique and you will need to get a teacher that is HIGHLY EXPERIENCED, DEDICATED, PATIENT, ENERGY DRIVEN, FRIENDLY YET FIRMED AND WELL QUALIFIED; and someone who can understand the unique learning situations of your children and tailor to the specific needs of your children’s learning styles. This particular teacher must share and celebrate the joy of students’ progress and success with them, no matter how minute the progress/success is; and despite all of the normal cycles of ups and downs in the journey of learning the instrument. Getting the right teacher is absolutely the most important consideration when it comes to learning an instrument. The right teacher will INSPIRE, MOTIVATE, ENCOURAGE, GUIDE, PRAISE, GROW & CELEBRATE with your children. For Adult/Matured Learners: Did you stop learning the piano during your secondary/college days (due to the fact of concentrating on school work & activities/exams); and wish to pick up the piano again now for leisure, self-enrichment or qualification purposes? Or you have been learning classical piano all these while in the past and wish to pick up a new skill i.e. pop/jazz piano now? And for the complete adult beginner, are you still currently hesitating in stepping forward to learning the piano because you are worried of your age, finger dexterity and learning speed? As for the absolute adult beginner, nothing should deter you from picking up the piano as piano learning crosses age boundary. The most important qualities that you need to possess in learning the piano are PATIENCE, CONSISTENCY in your practice routine, the SPIRIT of KEEP ON TRYING and TO BE OPENED with your own mistakes in the playing. I am the professional piano educator who qualifies with a BA Music Education Degree (London) and a Diploma of Higher Education - Professional Music (London), as well as a Diploma in Music Performance (London ATCL Piano Recital); coupled with more than 20 YEARS OF MUSIC WORKING EXPERIENCES.
